The HR Administrator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department by providing administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment, supporting benefits administration, and ensuring HR processes are completed accurately and efficiently. The HR Administrator partners closely with department managers and employees across the organization to provide excellent internal customer service while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies and employment regulations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Process employee status changes, terminations, and other HR transactions.
  • Assist employees with HR-related questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HR records.
  • Assist the recruiting team with interviews and onboarding.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive records.
  • Support payroll by ensuring employee information is accurate and submitted on time.

Compliance & Employee Support

  • Ensure HR files and documentation comply with federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Track employee certifications, training, and required documentation.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, open enrollment, and employee leave administration.
  • Help maintain and update HR policies, forms, and procedures.

Operational Support

  • Support employee engagement initiatives, company events, and recognition programs.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, and administrative projects.
  • Partner with department managers to support staffing and employee relations needs.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support the Human Resources team.


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Human Resources administrative experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and California employment laws.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based software applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships across all departments.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
