MRI Supervisor - MRI IP - IRV - FT - Day

The MRI Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of inpatient and outpatient MRI services at the UCI Health – Irvine campus. Ensures efficient workflow, high-quality imaging, and adherence to all regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards. This role provides direct supervision to MRI technologists, oversees staffing schedules and daily workflow coordination, and ensures adequate coverage to meet the imaging demands of inpatient, outpatient, and procedural areas. In collaboration with leadership this position participates in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and competency evaluation of technologists, and supports performance management activities including education, quality assurance, and corrective action when necessary. Coordinates equipment service needs, assists with capital planning for equipment replacement, and ensures timely resolution of technical issues to minimize downtime. Acting as a liaison between technologists, radiologists, referring physicians, and other departments, addresses service-related concerns and promotes stakeholder satisfaction. This position requires expert-level knowledge of MRI equipment and protocols, with the ability to perform and guide staff through complex and advanced imaging procedures.
