Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Shopping Center in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, residents, visitors, and retail patrons by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, building exteriors, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for security-related concerns, including unauthorized access, suspicious activity, property damage, and facility hazards, and report observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general information while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
