The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for driving planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision support for Edwards’ TAVR business. Partners with senior leadership to lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), long-term strategic planning, monthly forecasts, and financial close processes while delivering actionable insights on business performance, risks, and opportunities. Oversees financial reporting, supports executive decision-making through analysis and presentations, leads process improvement initiatives, and provides guidance to financial analysts. The ideal candidate brings extensive finance experience, strong business acumen, leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-paced, growing healthcare organization.

How you’ll make an impact: 

  • Lead financial planning processes for the TAVR business, partnering closely with senior business leaders to drive the development, consolidation, and alignment of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long-Term Strategic Plan, and monthly forecasts across sales and operating expenses within the forecasting system.
  • Oversee month-end and quarterly close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting, while delivering insightful variance analysis and executive-level commentary to support informed decision-making
  • Drive strategic decision support by translating financial data into actionable insights through routine reporting and complex ad hoc analyses; proactively identify and communicate key risks, opportunities, and trends impacting regional performance.
  • Influence executive stakeholders through the creation and delivery of high-impact presentations that clearly articulate financial performance, key drivers, and strategic recommendations.
  • Champion process optimization and transformation, identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate financial processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data integrity.
  • Lead by example to foster a high-performance, accountable, and business-oriented finance culture, where Finance is recognized as a strategic thought partner to the leadership team. 
  • Lead or actively participate in cross-functional or cross-BU improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and operating effectiveness, ensuring scalable financial processes to support growth.
  • Provide day-to-day work oversight and coaching to one or two financial analyst.

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • A minimum of ten years of Accounting/Finance experience (or eight years with a Master’s Degree or equivalent)​

  • Ability to work across multi-regions (Out of U.S.)
  • Complex Finance acumen (e.g. STRAP, AOP, earnings process)
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including influence and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Deep understanding US GAAP and financial processes and/or systems as pertaining to areas of responsibility
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and a strong focus on results and process improvement
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and business operations within a medical device and regulated environment preferred
  • Ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels and escalate issues appropriately
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • MBA or other advanced degree

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $121,000 to $171,000 (highly experienced).
