Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Security System Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various types of security systems including video surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control systems. The ideal candidate should have a technical background, a strong understanding of electronic systems, and a dedication to the highest standards of customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair security systems and equipment.
• Conduct site assessments to identify potential security risks.
• Program and set up peripherals for security systems.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients.
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions, diagnose issues, and perform timely repairs
• Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades
• Document all work performed, including installation diagrams, service reports, and maintenance logs
• Provide training and support to clients on how to use installed systems
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, codes, and industry standards
• Coordinate with other technicians, project managers, and customers to meet project deadlines
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and product updates in the security industry.
**Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Security System Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of various security systems and programming software.
• Understanding of electrical and electronic components and tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Technician certifications or diploma in electronics or related field is a plus.
• Able to pass a drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean background check, MVR, and drug screen
