Job Summary:
As a Franchise Business Coach, your work will directly impact the success of the enterprise by influencing the performance and profitability of each Bar Method Franchisee in your territory. You will assist Franchisees by providing a wide range of consulting and coaching services, developing and facilitating strategic initiatives to promote sales growth and profitability, and ensuring consistency through education and guidance on in-studio and multi-unit operations. Successful coaches will leverage their industry and business development experience to assess current performance, identify areas of opportunity, recommend solutions based upon best practices, develop an action plan and follow up to encourage follow through.
The Franchise Business Coach reports to the Director of Support and is preferably based geographically within their territory or at the corporate office in Woodbury, MN. This position will provide service across multiple states and communities, and thus will require some amount of travel within and outside of their assigned geographical territory. When not traveling this position will work from a remote home office or at the corporate office.Â
Key Position Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Monthly, or weekly if necessary, review of territory performance results by Franchisees.
- Assess and determine performance gaps, opportunities, and operational needs for Franchisees.
- Provide related recommendations, training, follow-up, and general assistance to Franchisee
- Influence and collaborate with Franchisees to establish action plans to assist Franchisees in improving operations and drive revenue growth.
- Follow up with written communication after each virtual meeting and in-studio visit and other on-going communications to ensure execution of action plan(s).
- Monitor operational standards and report unacceptable performance to Franchisees, as well as corporate staff, if necessary.
- Support the adoption of any The Bar Method initiatives through influence and collaboration with Franchisees to create action plans to implement the initiatives.
- Provide front line / Franchisee perspective in the identification and development of new initiatives, communication, and training, and to define and solve Franchisee challenges.
- Act as the liaison between Franchisees and Corporate, ensuring effective flow of communication -including making sure franchisees are aware of any information shared out by corporate, acting as first point of contact for questions and requests, and connecting Franchisees to corporate teams or vendors as appropriate.
- May require addressing urgent matters or travel outside of regular business hours.
- May lead or participate in ad-hob projects, committees, initiatives as required by leadership.
Facilitated Development:
- Work with corporate teams to recommend customized training programs based on the knowledge of the Franchisees studio operations, management training practices and staff development needs.
- Identify and advance multiunit growth and performance optimization opportunities with corporate teams.

- Quick learners and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and easily adapt to a dynamic work environment
Required Job Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in coaching and/or leadership positions in a retail, service, and/or franchise environment within the fitness field, with a track record of achieving results.
- Financial / Business Acumen – including but not limited to proficiency in understanding P&L statements and other financial and KPI reports, proficiency with MS Excel to support adoption and development of budgets/projections and ability to develop action plans to achieve financial goals.
- Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel and comfortable in adopting new technologies
- Ability to travel up to 50% as well as traveling outside of business hours as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and Passport
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in coaching or in leadership positions in a multi-unit retail/service/franchise environment strongly preferred
- Experience in the Fitness field, small boutique studios and/or Barre experience strongly preferred
- A bachelor’s degree in business, service, finance, or related

Remote optional: Wednesdays and Fridays
On-site days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
