The Credit Analyst is responsible for providing support to the credit and lending teams by analyzing financial statements, preparing credit memoranda, and assisting the underwriting commercial real estate loans. Â The role will review borrower and guarantor information, performs financial modeling, and assesses creditworthiness and risk in accordance with the Bank's policies and regulatory standards. Â
- Update credit files and review loan documentation.
- Follow up on insurance, monitor existing credit portfolios, and contact clients.
- Board loans by communicating findings and updates to relationship managers and senior credit officers.
- Knowledge of BSA, AML, and New Accounts to assist in the opening of the department's business deposit accounts.
- Preparing loan advances/paydowns and invoice payments for officer review and signature.
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Real Estate loan documentation.
- Ability to coordinate loan closing with the Bank's Note Department.
- Regular client interaction via email or phone for new credit and/or ongoing servicing of the loan portfolio.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- Prior banking experience or relevant Commercial Real Estate lending experience preferred.
- Branch Operations/New Account background a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
