Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Irvine/CA - McKinley Elevator Corp - Irvine, CA 92614Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $23.00 - $26.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: Road WarriorJob Shift: SwingJob Category: Distribution - ShippingKey Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities: Load materials and equipment for safe transport to the job site or to technician and installers homes Safely unload materials and/or equipment Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel vehicle(s) as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and regulations Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking all incoming material Safely operate all material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks Assist installers with the movement or staging of off loaded materials and equipment Wash assigned vehicles as weather and operating conditions require to maintain a clean vehicle Follow the regular vehicle maintenance schedule provided by your supervisor Contribute to team effort by performing additional duties as requested Perform emergency repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, etc. Inventory unit at delivery with install apprentice and report results to Project Manager QualificationsQualifications: A background in warehouse operations Experience in logistics including shipping, receiving and delivery Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to truck driving Excellent verbal and written communication skills Solid writing and grammar skills Highly organized Ability to work harmoniously with the public and co-workers Ability to successfully prioritize and meet deadlines Punctual and reliable Strong attention to details and accuracy Trustworthy and maintains confidentiality Excellent problem-solver Must have current forklift operator’s license Must maintain at least a Class “C” driver’s license Clean Driving Record Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting and standing Frequent customer interaction, must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with others Must be able to see well enough to drive, read electronic screens and electrical schematics and service/operation manuals Ability to hear, smell and touch Grasping/Feeling: must be able to write, type, and use hand and power tools Ability to think and process information quickly, clearly and accurately Strong reasoning ability; able to apply common sense, understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions; able to deal logically with problems & people Physically fit for lifting and moving equipment (up to 50 pounds) Ability to stand and work on ladder Ability to be led, ability to follow instructions, make suggestions and are willing to learn Ability to push, pull and perform overhead work Ability to work with various hand and power tools Finger Dexterity – use of finger/fine manipulation.
