Practice Management FP&A is responsible for the planning, forecasting, and reporting for over 2,000 US Oncology providers across the country and over 200M in IT & HQ operating expenses to support future growth in the Oncology Ecosystem. McKesson is seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A to lead the HQ Operating Expense FP&A team for Practice Management. Â
The Senior Manager will be responsible for delivering analytics and reporting to a variety of key business stakeholders, utilizing appropriate data to effectively create actionable plans. This role requires the ability to have a detailed understanding of financials but also elevate the story to a level that is friendly for an executive audience. This person should have a creative mindset and be able to bring new ideas to the table to continue improving the support finance provides to Practice Management. This role will interact with multiple business units, functions, and Executive leaders to develop a scale-able operating expense offering across US Oncology that will drive strategic value across the enterprise. This is a unique role that provides a breadth of finance experiences, a deep understanding of US Oncology practices, and spans across multiple business units and departments.
The Senior Manager, FP&A is a trusted business partner to the Practice Management Leadership Team, and their direct reports. The Senior Manager will also work collaboratively across the organization to produce transparent and actionable insight for strategic decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, pressure test, and present financial reporting packages to key executive stakeholders
Monitor enterprise and initiative level key performance indicators and proactively assess areas of over or under performance
Recommend strategies to improve performance
Partner with senior leadership to enable greater understanding of operating expenses and assist in evaluating potential strategies being considered
Continue to refine current reporting and develop recommendations/drive implementation of new insightful reporting
Develop forecasting, planning, and reporting for all USON related HQ products and services and explain variance drivers
Co-develop a documented end to end financial process for all HQ allocations, including a prioritization framework, creative solutions to influence practice stakeholders, and governing body while standardizing across the disparate teams
Other Ad hoc analysis in support of corporate finance initiatives or consolidated views
Minimum Requirement
Degree and typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred
Critical Skills
9+ years finance experience including budgeting, forecasting, development of ROIs, business cases and strategic planning
Self-directed
Ability to influence without authority
Must have strong quantitative and analytical thinking skills
Strong executive presence and comfort working with senior leadership
Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information for executive leadership
1+ year experience in process improvement and develop team members
Prior experience building financial models
Technical fluency with financial systems and reporting tools (Essbase, PeopleSoft, SAP, Tableau)
