An elevator control panel wiring technician assembles, installs, and wires control panels for elevators according to detailed schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications. 

Essential Duties

  • Layout and Assembly: Dimension and layout back panels and enclosures; mount components such as relays, control boards, and safety devices.

  • Wiring: Perform detailed wiring per schematic or blue print

  • Cabling and Routing: Route and bundle wires neatly to meet wiring standards and avoid interference.

  • Testing: Conduct functional, safety, and startup tests to ensure proper operation and compliance.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and correct wiring errors or component malfunctions.

  • Documentation: Maintain red line mark-ups of changes and communicate them to engineers or supervisors.

  • Compliance: Work in accordance with company safety programs, building codes, and electrical codes.
