Responsibilities

  • The HRIS Position Management Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity of organizational and position management data within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS). This role serves as the primary administrator for organizational hierarchy and position data, ensuring organizational structures, approved headcount, cost centers, departments, and reporting relationships accurately reflect business needs and approved workforce plans.
  • Working closely with Human Resources, Finance, and Workforce Planning teams, the HRIS Analyst supports organizational design, position management, reporting, and data governance activities. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills, demonstrates attention to detail, and proactively identifies root causes of data issues while recommending practical solutions.

Responsibilities

 

Position & Organizational Management

  • Serve as the primary administrator for company-wide organizational structure and position management activities.
  • Maintain organizational hierarchies, reporting relationships, parent positions, departments, cost centers, and other workforce structure data within Employee Central.
  • Ensure position data aligns with approved workforce plans and organizational requirements.
  • Partner with Finance and Workforce Planning teams to validate position availability and approved headcount.
  • Monitor organizational changes and ensure timely and accurate system updates.
  • Maintain data integrity across organizational and position management processes.

HRIS Data Administration

  • Process and validate organizational and employee-related data changes.
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all position attribute data and organizational structures.
  • Research and troubleshoot data discrepancies and system issues.
  • Identify root causes of data inconsistencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance data quality, efficiency, and compliance.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Create, maintain, and distribute standard and ad hoc reports using Employee Central reporting tools.
  • Analyze HR and workforce data to support business decision-making.
  • Validate report accuracy and ensure data consistency across reporting sources.
  • Support recurring reporting requirements for HR, Finance, and operational stakeholders.

Data Governance Support

  • Support HR data governance initiatives and adherence to established data standards.
  • Assist with audits, data quality reviews, and compliance activities.
  • Participate in documentation of data definitions, business rules, and governance processes.
  • Help identify opportunities to strengthen data controls and improve data quality.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Workforce Planning, and business leaders on organizational and workforce-related initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support regarding organizational structures and position management processes.
  • Assist in testing and validation activities related to HRIS enhancements and system updates.

Requirements

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
  • Knowledge of organizational management and position management concepts.
  • Experience partnering with Finance or Workforce Planning teams.
  • Familiarity with data governance, audit controls, or data quality management practices.
  • Experience creating and maintaining HR reports and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of HR data structures and reporting best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in HRIS, HR Operations, workforce planning, reporting, or related analytical roles.
  • Experience maintaining organizational structures, positions, departments, cost centers, or related master data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including: VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions , basic formulas and data validation, pivot tables, data analysis and reconciliation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
