Gains exposure to career in area assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Download documents, organize drawings/specifications, and set-up project folder for job. Assist in the creation of electrical installation drawings and models using Revit software. Learn procedures for building systems and construction methods. 3D Model BOM Extraction/Verification. Analyzes and interprets detailed drawings and specifications. Collaborates with the team to help determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications. Exposure to Bluebeam and on-screen take-off procedures. Attend coordination meetings and grasp thorough understanding of clearing conflicts. Submittals exposure. Walks jobs, learns trade inside and out, and utilizes knowledge to enhance overall company performance. Continue to grow through strategic mentoring, training and development opportunities. Other Duties and Responsibilities Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects. Education and Experience Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, and/or Construction Management discipline. 3.00 GPA or higher. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision to discern color coded wires, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Possesses good hearing, normal or corrected. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest), as needed. Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts, as needed. Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite. Must be able to work in the presence of customers and their representatives with little or no interference or disruption to the customer while maintaining a professional and courteous image.
