LSI STAFFING is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for their Metal Fabrication client in Irving, Texas. The ideal candidate will have the following skills or experience: 
Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain lathe machines, including both manual and CNC lathes, to perform precision machining operations. 
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand product specifications and requirements. 
  • Check workpieces for defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. 
  • Set up, adjust, and program CNC machines for automated production. 
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities within the team. 
  • Mentor junior machinists or apprentices, particularly in senior or lead roles. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors. 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Lathe Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role. 
  • Strong understanding of metalworking properties and machining techniques. 
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with precision measuring tools and quality control procedures. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues independently. 
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and operation is highly desirable.
