We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineering Manager to lead our data engineering organization and drive the design, development, and optimization of our modern data platform. This leader will guide a team of data engineers in building scalable, reliable, and high-performance data systems that support analytics, operational systems,  AI/ML, and business intelligence across the company.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable shaping long-term data architecture strategy and rolling up their sleeves to solve complex engineering challenges. They excel at stakeholder communication, foster strong engineering culture, and bring deep expertise in modern data stacks, cloud platforms, and data lifecycle best practices. They are able to work in an Agile and fast paced environment.

What you will do
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data and platform engineers.
  • Ensure the technical vision and roadmap for the data engineering organization aligns with business goals.
  • Partner with leaders across Business Intelligence, Product, Engineering, Tech, and Business teams to translate business needs into a scalable data strategy.
  • Oversee the design, build, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and ELT/ET frameworks.
  • Supervise the architecture of scalable data models and storage solutions aligned with enterprise data standards.
  • Ensure data systems adhere to best-in-class performance, security, governance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Evaluate, introduce, and manage modern data tools and technologies.
  • Lead and improve end-to-end data lifecycle processes, including ingestion, transformation, quality, testing, and monitoring.
  • Implement data observability and CI/CD for data pipelines.
  • Ensure optimal performance, uptime, and resilience of mission-critical data workflows.
  • Supervise the design, build, and maintenance of high-performance APIs and data services that support internal and external applications.
  • Manage the design and deployment of event-driven data processing solutions using AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS, and related serverless patterns.
  • Lead the development of real-time and streaming data ingestion pipelines using platforms such as Kinesis, Kafka, or equivalent technologies


What you Bring to the Table
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role
  • Deep hands-on expertise with the modern data stack technologies (e.g. AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, GitHub, Matillion, Openflow, Fivetran, etc.)
  • Proven track record architecting large-scale, distributed data systems.
  • Experience implementing automated testing, CI/CD, data quality frameworks, and observability tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Background in designing multi-environment (dev/staging/prod) data ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and DevOps practices.
  • Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL, or similar) as part of data products or internal data services.
