Summary:
In the role, the VP, Supply Chain Performance Improvement defines and leads the strategy, design, and execution of enterprise supply chain transformation initiatives, partnering with healthcare executives to drive measurable improvements in cost, performance, and operating models. This role serves as a senior strategic partner to healthcare provider executives, advancing enterprise-wide supply chain transformation and delivering measurable value across client organizations.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high-performing transformation organization responsible for strategy, advisory, and execution of large-scale supply chain transformation initiatives, building leadership capability and a culture of accountability and results.
Define organizational capabilities, talent requirements, and workforce strategies needed to scale transformation services and support future growth.
Own the NOC product offering strategy and value-stream portfolio, including service catalog development, offering lifecycle management, delivery tiers, implementation methodologies, and launch readiness.
Own the transformation business P&L including growth, margin, and delivery performance of transformation engagements.
Define enterprise transformation strategy and roadmap aligned to provider priorities and future-state supply chain capabilities.
Establish and govern NOC value-stream operating models, including accountability structures, implementation playbooks, KPI frameworks, operating cadences, and performance review processes.
Lead end-to-end transformation engagements including current-state assessment, future-state design, implementation, and value realization.
Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders guiding enterprise-level change across operating models, processes, and technology.
Partner with the VP, National Operations Center to operationalize transformation outcomes ensuring solutions are scalable, standardized, and embedded into ongoing service delivery.
Drive innovation in transformation methodologies and capabilities including digital, data, and advanced analytics enablement.
Drive integration of supply chain transformation initiatives with clinical and procedural workflows to improve case readiness, operational reliability, and stakeholder adoption.
Partner with commercial leadership to drive growth through differentiated transformation offerings, pipeline development, and complex pursuits.
Identify and develop new capabilities and offerings that expand transformation impact and market differentiation.
Represent Vizient as a thought leader in healthcare supply chain transformation.
Set expectations for responsible AI adoption across the transformation organization, ensuring AI tools are used to improve productivity, strengthen delivery capabilities, support scalable methodologies, and evaluate outputs with appropriate governance and judgment.
Qualifications
Relevant degree preferred.
10 or more years of experience in healthcare supply chain, healthcare operations, spend management, consulting, or transformation-related roles, including significant provider experience.
5 or more years in leadership roles with P&L accountability for advisory or transformation services.
Proven track record of scaling transformation services or operational capabilities within healthcare provider environments from design through implementation.
Deep expertise across multiple supply chain domains, operating models, and performance improvement strategies.
Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.
Experience translating strategy into executable transformation roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
Familiarity with operational supply chain environments and ability to partner effectively with operations leaders (important—NOT owning ops).
Advanced knowledge of AI-enabled business productivity and transformation use cases, with ability to guide responsible adoption, evaluate risks and limitations, and sponsor practical AI-enabled ways of working.
Experience developing new service offerings and driving growth in a consulting or advisory model preferred.
Willingness to travel.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
