The Position

This position is responsible for managing the daily operational needs of the Service Center regarding materials management, fabrication and assembly operations.

 

The main responsibilities are:

  • Manages and directs materials management, fabrication and assembly departments to support sales demand
  • Responsible for manufacturing policies/practices in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures
  • Establishes operational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery
  • Oversees expense budgets to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements
  • Manages and ensures employee training, development, and succession planning
  • Manages fabrication and assembly assets to ensure proper maintenance, replacement and upgrades are completed in a timely manner
  • Develops and manages relevant KPIs in accordance for business needs 

Education and Experience

  • BS/BA in Management, Engineering or Equivalent
  • 5 to 8 years of industrial operations management and engineering experience
  • Experience with developing functional and capital expense budgets
  • Experience with managing innovation & solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Experience with developing and implement Lean operations
