Job Summary:
The HR Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and HR reporting. This role works closely with the HR Manager, employees, and department leaders to ensure HR processes are handled accurately, timely, and consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, background checks, and onboarding.
- Coordinate new-hire orientation, Form I-9 completion, employee changes, transfers, and terminations.
- Serve as the onsite HR point of contact for employees and managers at the Texas office, providing day-to-day HR support and escalating matters to the HR Manager as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data, ensuring required documentation is complete and up to date.
- Assist with payroll preparation by reviewing timekeeping, time-off requests, employee changes, deductions, and other payroll-related information.
- Support employee relations matters by gathering information, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with the HR Manager as needed.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation matters, including incident reporting, documentation, employee follow-up, and communication with the HR Manager and applicable vendors.
- Coordinate and track required employee training, including safety, compliance, workplace policies, and other company-required training.
- Support leave administration and attendance-related matters by collecting documentation, tracking employee status, and coordinating with the HR Manager and applicable vendors.
- Support onsite HR compliance activities, including required postings, employee notices, personnel documentation, and workplace policy implementation.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding logistics, including coordination with IT, managers, facilities, and other departments.
- Assist with Texas office employee communications, HR events, employee engagement activities, and other onsite HR initiatives.
- Coordinate with payroll, HR vendors, managers, and other departments to resolve employee-related administrative matters.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the HR Manager and assist with other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of HR Generalist or related HR experience.
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, payroll/timekeeping, benefits, and employee relations.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and manage multiple priorities.
- Korean/English bilingual skills are a plus.
