About the Role:
The Warehouse position is critical to ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within our supply chain operations. This role involves managing inventory accuracy, organizing stock, and preparing orders for shipment to meet customer demands promptly. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe and clean work environment while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards. Collaboration with team members and other departments is essential to optimize warehouse workflows and support overall business objectives. Ultimately, this role ensures that products are handled with care and delivered on time, supporting customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Basic math and reading skills to accurately process orders and inventory.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift operator certification.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced distribution center.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations to maximize space and accessibility.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and data entry.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to resolve issues and improve processes.
Skills:
The required skills such as basic math, reading, and physical stamina are essential for accurately processing orders, managing inventory, and performing manual tasks safely. Preferred skills like forklift operation and familiarity with warehouse management systems enhance efficiency and reduce errors in daily operations. Strong organizational skills help in maintaining an orderly warehouse environment and meeting shipment deadlines. Effective communication and teamwork skills are used daily to coordinate with colleagues and resolve operational challenges.
