The Unity Family Success Center Family Partner is responsible for welcoming participants to the center in Irvington, NJ, conducting intake tasks, and connecting families with needed resources. The Family Partner serves as a welcoming presence and a key point of contact for the community, helping to create a safe, organized, and family-friendly environment. The Family Partner also conducts presentations and outreach activities.Â
Essential Functions
- Greet visitors, both in-person and via phone, in a professional and friendly manner, including offering welcome tours
- Instruct all participants to complete the appropriate program forms and direct participants appropriately
- Connect families to needed resources (including providing information, referrals, and advocacy) in a strength-based, professional, and non-judgmental manner
- Assist with Family Success Center activities and events including marketing, outreach, registering families, set-up/cleanup, etc.Â
- Track information daily on any services provided to families and report data to management on a monthly basis
- Translate program materials into Spanish to ensure accessibility and cultural relevance for Spanish-speaking participants including workshops, outreach materials, and written communications
- Interpret and adapt workshop content into Spanish to maintain accuracy, clarity, and engagement while aligning with program goals and learning objectives
- Facilitate and deliver workshops in Spanish, ensuring effective participant engagement, comprehension, and inclusion of Spanish-speaking families in all program offerings
- Assist with tracking and organizing materials and program supplies/inventory
- Assist with office functions, including mail processing, catering for various activities and events, service on various office machines (postage, copier, etc.)

Requirements
- Associates degree in a Human Services-related field is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. We can also consider commensurate experience in place of a Human Services-related degree
- Two years of experience required in implementation of community-based services or human service programs
- Experience in the provision of prevention related programs required
- Three to five years of administrative experience preferred
- Bilingual fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish is required
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
