Job Summary

This position's compensation is primarily commissions/gratuities. Provides professional massage treatments in accordance with state law and policy and procedures of Tides Inn Spa. Responsible for providing a safe, clean, motivating and nurturing environment for services that exceeds guest's expectations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Provide a list of responsibilities and duties of this job:

1. Regular and Reliable Attendance is an essential function of this role.
2. Performs massage and body treatment services according to protocol. 
3. Effectively communicate the spas health and fitness philosophy to guests.
4. Read and adhere to schedule postings in regards to shifts, room assignments and the computer scheduling system.
5. Provide all guests with consistent services for all treatments. 
6. Be prompt with appointments, 30 minutes prior to your shift.
7. Begin services on time and perform all services within the time frame established for each treatment.
8. Properly educate guests about their treatments. 
9. Promote spa and all services, products and programs.
10. Assist and perform daily prep work duties such as re-stocking, refilling and preparing rooms for treatments.
11. Attend and participate in regularly scheduled training sessions and meetings.
12. Be an active participant in the department by contributing to new programs and development ideas.
13. Display appropriate teamwork, flexibility and interpersonal skills.
14. Follow all Department Standards of Operations at all times.
15. Responsible for providing a safe, clean, personal, entertaining and well thought out session that exceeds guest's expectations.
16. Keep all work and storage areas neat and maintained. 
17. Ensure proper tools and equipment is purchased for safety with manager. 
18. Ensure gratuities are not solicited. 
19. Massage Therapist is empowered to determine when to terminate a massage in the event it becomes unprofessional and/or uncomfortable for either party.
20. Other duties as assigned.
