Position Overview:
The Product Engineer reports to the Assistant Vice President, Technical Product Manager, and plays a critical role in supporting the ever-expanding Ascot’s US based operations. As our business continues to grow, we have a need for a dedicated Product Engineer on our product implementation team. This is a cross-functional team responsible for product speed to market. The Product Engineer plays an essential role in introducing new products and programs, configuring the systems to support those new products and programs, ensuring the system changes are delivered to specification and function as expected.  The role partners with underwriting, legal, operations, project management office, and others to accomplish goals and objectives. The qualified candidate will have strong communication and engagement skills, demonstrated ability to deliver on time-sensitive projects, and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment. This is an in-office role with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:
Provide application support for product and program implementation and maintenance
Support launch of new Lines of Business leveraging policy admin platforms such as MGA Systems, Federato, Guidewire, etc., using configurations for rate, form and rules.
Interact with vendors and other development teams to coordinate custom development, report building and general application support for policy & claim operations
Interact with underwriting teams to understand their products and system requirements to manage those products
Define, document and maintain business process workflows with respect to system interaction
Debug issues identified by business users in Live or Test environments by debugging root cause and defining solution plans
Support business operational requirements such as updating business rules, new policy form uploads, creating document tags etc.
Liaise with Operations, Legal, Data and other teams to coordinate efforts and ensure smooth product launches.Â
Utilize best practices and stay up to date on technology and industry trends.Â

Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in configuring and supporting IMS or similar systems for underwriting services and transactions is required
- Bachelor’s degree
- P&C / Specialty Insurance industry experience a plus
- Agile experience required
- Visio and workflow design skills is a plus
- Strong communication skills – verbal, written and presentation
- Ability to quickly adapt to new and evolving situations

Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company.Â
The annualized base pay range for this role is: $100,000 - $110,000.
