Job Purpose

 

 

Responsible for the engineering, design and technical oversight during construction of projects for the gas distribution network.

Key Accountabilities

 

 

  • Design of gas main replacement projects for the distribution network
  • Prioritize work and manage multiple projects on time and within budget
  • Effectively communicate project information with internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform all aspects of role function in line with corporate process safety procedures
  • Identify and specify materials to be used in association with gas construction projects
  • Identify and acquire the necessary permits, licenses, and land rights associated with assigned projects
  • Negotiate and manage commercial contracts with third parties and suppliers

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited college or university required
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam with Engineer in Training (EIT)certification preferred
  • 2+ years of engineering or project management experience required
  • Valid driver's license required

Downstate NY Salary $115,000 - $135,000 a year
