Overworked Restoration Tech on Long Island? Come Work With a Team That Actually Has Your Back.
If you're the kind of person who shows up ready to restore homes—and lives—with urgency, precision, and honest care… but you're tired of feeling unsupported, underpaid, or like just another set of hands, keep reading.
Who This Is For
- New or experienced restoration tech who takes pride in clean, compliant, quality work.
- You want to learn fast, build real skills, and grow into more responsibility.
- You care about people: you can stay calm and empathetic with stressed-out homeowners.
- You respond fast, don't cut corners, and refuse to settle for "good enough."
What This Role Really Looks Like
This is a Restoration Technician role with United Water Restoration Group – Long Island, NY. You'll be hands-on from day one:
- Perform water, fire, mold, and hazard restoration work with precision, quality, and safety.
- Keep every job up to industry standard and NYS compliance regulations.
- Drive company vehicles and keep job sites clean, organized, and moving on schedule.
- Communicate directly with clients, teammates, and project managers so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Join the on-call rotation for real emergencies – nights, weekends, and sometimes holidays.
It's fast, messy, sometimes gross, and definitely not 9–5. If that turns you off, you'll hate this. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, you'll love it here.
What You Get Here (That You Don't Get Everywhere Else)
- A clear path to more responsibility, plus training and support to build your certifications (DOT within your first 3 months – company paid).
- A team that leads with urgency, empathy, and integrity – not chaos.
- Recognition and trust: we hire people who take ownership, and we let you own it.
- Backing from a 24/7/365 company that's served Long Island homeowners, businesses, and property managers for 7+ years.
- The credibility of working for a 5x "Best Restoration Specialist" winner on Long Island, NY.
Must Haves
- At least 1 year of trade experience.
- Restoration clean-up (water, mold, fire damage) experience, preferred but not required.
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation 24/7.
- Ability to repeatedly push, pull, lift, and carry equipment, and work around cleaning products and chemicals.
- Comfortable joining a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends and sometimes holidays.
- Highly responsive, self-motivated, and able to empathize with people on their worst days.
If you read this thinking, "That's literally me," apply and put "READY TO RESTORE" in your application subject so we know you're serious.
