Job description:

Senior Scientist (R&D) is responsible for method development, validation, and analytical support activities for dietary supplements/pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products in a fast‑paced environment. This role requires strong technical expertise in chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques, regulatory understanding, and the ability to guide junior scientists

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Method Development: Develop and optimize analytical methods (HPLC/UPLC, GC‑FID, LC‑MS/MS, GC‑MS/MS, ICP‑OES, ICP‑MS, IC, etc.) for raw materials and finished products. This includes developing and optimizing sample‑preparation procedures for complex‑matrix finished forms.
  • Method Validation: Perform and document method validation/verification per USP and ICH Q2(R2) guidelines.
  • Instrument Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments; ensure calibration and qualification compliance.
  • Mentor junior chemists, train staff, and support work planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Master’s / Ph.D. degree in chemistry, science or Pharmaceutics.
Experience:

  • MS/Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience in a dietary supplements/pharmaceutical analytical development lab.
  • Must have good understanding of cGMPs and able to author quality investigations.
  • Proficient in using softwares (such as Empower, openlab, Masshunter, Masslynx etc.) including custom field calculations.

Pay: Starting at $90,000.00 per year

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for handling small tools and instruments.
