 SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is currently seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the review, analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants.Â

This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location. Â
Â
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft personsÂ
Implement pre-construction quality plan and manage construction permitsÂ
Develop and maintain Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance ReportÂ
Manage, create, and distribute contract documents, including RFIs and correspondenceÂ
Oversee testing and inspection processes, implementing a three-phase inspection systemÂ
Manage submittals, ensuring timely processing and alignment with project scheduleÂ
Coordinate subcontractor details, including insurance verification and final payment requestsÂ
Develop and distribute RFIs and Change Orders, updating as-built construction documentsÂ
Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsÂ
Lead team members by example, providing coaching, feedback, and performance managementÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experienceÂ
Current driver’s licenseÂ
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple project tasksÂ
Basic understanding of construction law and business practicesÂ
Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsÂ
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web applicationsÂ
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesÂ
Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedbackÂ

Project Engineer I:Â
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of related experienceÂ
The base pay range for this role is $84,100 - $113,500
Â
Project Engineer II:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of related experienceÂ
The base pay range for this role is $93,400 - $126,100
Â
(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
