Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer to join our Gas Lab team. This role is designed for a recent engineering graduate who is eager to grow into a Product Development Engineer position. The Test Engineer will support senior and principal engineers by conducting hands-on testing, preparing detailed reports, and contributing to product development through design and analysis work.

This is a growth-oriented role that combines hands-on lab work, data analysis, and engineering design, ideal for a driven engineer who is committed to advancing their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct product testing in the gas lab to support senior and principal engineers.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and professional test reports using Word and Excel.
  • Design, build, and upgrade test equipment and fixtures; troubleshoot and improve existing fixtures.
  • Execute Design of Experiments (DOE) and analyze results using Minitab.
  • Perform basic Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support product validation.
  • Work with Creo and SolidWorks to create models, drawings, and test equipment designs.
  • Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in Windchill.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in testing methodologies, equipment, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline required).
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in product development and testing.
  • Hands-on aptitude with the ability to build, modify, and troubleshoot test fixtures.
  • Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, and Minitab.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret test data.
  • Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis tools and applications.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently in a lab environment and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or co-op experience in testing, product development, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with DOE and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with Windchill or similar PLM systems.
  • Desire to pursue further education or advanced certifications.
