The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is seeking students to assist in monitoring audition and/or interview rooms with authorized faculty members for both on-campus and Zoom auditions and interviews. Student monitors do not participate in the audition or interview process unless requested by faculty. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist applicants to the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance in getting to their audition and interview rooms.
  • Keep faculty on schedule to complete auditions and interviews in the allotted time.
  • Act as the third party in the “rule of three” for applicants under the age of 18.
  • Act as ambassadors for the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance and answer questions from applicants, families, and supporters.
  • Enforce and follow policies and procedures as outlined by the Ithaca College Risk Management Protection of Minors Policy

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Matriculated School of Music, Theatre, and Dance student at Ithaca College.
  • Ability to interact in a professional and courteous manner with a diverse population of applicants and their families and supporters.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and work-ethic.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Required to pass and complete upon hiring:
    • Background Verification Check
    • United Educators (UE): Protecting Children: Identifying and Reporting Sexual Misconduct” Course
    • Cleary Training
    • Attestation Form
  • Availability for the majority of the following audition and interview sessions:
    • Center for Music
      • Saturday, December 13, 2025: 8:00am – 4:00pm (on-campus and Zoom)
      • Saturday, January 24, 2026: 8:00am – 4:00pm (on-campus and Zoom)
      • Saturday, February 7, 2026: 8:00am – 4:00pm (on-campus and Zoom)
      • Saturday, February 21, 2026: 8:00am – 4:00pm (on-campus and Zoom)
    • Center for Theatre and Dance
      • Saturday, December 6, 2025: 8:00am – 12:00pm (on-campus), 1:00pm – 5:00pm (Zoom)
      • Saturday, January 31, 2026: 10:00am – 1:00pm (Zoom), 2:00pm – 5:00pm (Zoom)
      • Saturday, February 14, 2026: 8:00am – 12:00pm (on-campus), 1:00pm – 5:00pm (Zoom)
      • Saturday, February 21, 2026: 8:00am – 12:00pm (on-campus), 1:00pm – 5:00pm (Zoom)

PAY RATE: $15.65 / hour

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a full-time position and runs only between December 6, 2025 and February 21, 2026 with the possibility for re-hire the following year.
