Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortableÂ
Set up and breakdown operatory post treatmentÂ
Take dental radiographs (x-rays)Â
Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipmentÂ
Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment proceduresÂ
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral healthÂ
Qualifications:Â
Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specifyÂ
X-ray certification where state regulations specifyÂ

Working Environment & Physical Requirements Â
This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Â
