Facilities Management (FM) provides maintenance, grounds, and custodial services to the entire campus. FM serves as a partner within the zone structure for the Contract Colleges (CC), Endowed (EN), and Student and Campus Life (SCL) zones.āÆĀ

As a key steward of the Universityās facilities, FMĀ is responsible forĀ facility assessments, skilled trades, general construction, building care, grounds, recycling, asbestos, and the management of planned, corrective, and preventive maintenance.āÆĀ

Perform installation and maintenance of all building heating, ventilating, airĀ conditioningĀ and direct digital building management control systems.Ā Ā AssistĀ with the maintenance of other building systems such as plumbing and electrical systems.Ā Ā May serve as Energy Management Control System (EMCS) operator.Ā

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the building management control system field.Ā Ā Ā
Must belong to the local Electrician orĀ Plumbers Union, orĀ join withinĀ 30 daysĀ of employment.Ā Ā
Must have the ability to prepare written documents,Ā reportsĀ and summaries of work activities.Ā Ā
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.Ā
Must be knowledgeable of building mechanical systems, including hydronics, steam and air handler unit systems.Ā
Must be able to wear respirator and other employer-provided safety and PPE.Ā
Must have andĀ maintainĀ a valid, unrestricted US driverās license.Ā
Must have experience with computers and building controls systems.Ā
May beĀ requiredĀ to use own vehicle on the job.Ā Ā
Will beĀ requiredĀ to inspect and work in crawl spaces, attics, laboratories, ventilation equipment, mechanical rooms, mechanical shafts, subĀ basementsĀ and confined, isolated areas.Ā Ā Access to these may be by ladder or scaffold tower on platforms up to 100ā high.Ā Ā Ā
Risk exposure to asbestos, toxic vapors, heat, cold, height and accumulated dirt.Ā Ā Ā
Must be available to work overtime as duties require, including weekends.Ā Ā Ā
