Are you a passionate, creative, and skilled professional who believes in the power of collaboration to support students and families? The Possibilities Program is seeking a full-time Family and School-Engagement Social Worker to join our innovative, student-centered team. This 10.5-month role follows the school-year calendar and includes summers off, with flexible hours and remote work options.

About the Program: The Possibilities Program is a forward-thinking outreach and consultation service delivered in partnership with TST BOCES and its component school districts. This role is rooted in relationship-building, collaboration, and strength-based practice. We provide short-term, high-impact support for students and families facing challenges, with the goal of increasing student engagement and success in public school settings.

37.5 hours per week and Monday through Friday
10.5 month salary starting at $45,000-$55,000 depending on education and experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide short-term (3–4 months), family and student centered, intensive case management, parent coaching and short-term counseling services to K–12 students
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with families, educators, and school teams
- Conduct family intake interviews and gather social histories
- Develop individualized goals and strength-based interventions with school and family input
- Participate in crisis support and solution-focused team meetings
- Observe students and classrooms, offering insight and recommendations at the individual, classroom, or system level
- Deliver training and coaching to school teams and individual professionals within the school as needed
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Engage in regular reflective supervision and team collaboration
Qualifications
Required:Â
- Master's Degree
- Experience in school-based services, youth and family support, or community outreach
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, culturally responsive practices, and family systems
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities
- Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (related graduate degree considered)
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
