Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Ithaca, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location. This driving position involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, reporting security-related concerns, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, store personnel, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate store contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe activity at the location, reporting policy violations, suspicious behavior, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and designated site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
