School Year: 2026–2027

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team full-time in Ithaca, NY. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs, fostering inclusion, and helping each child reach their fullest potential

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with special needs.
Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and staff.
Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles.
Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive practices.
Monitor student progress and maintain compliance with district and state requirements.
Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and independence.

Qualifications:

Current New York certification in Special Education (Elementary level).
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
