Join our Audiology team at our downtown Ithaca site! 

 

We are looking for a billing specialist, and office assistant to aid in our compassionate and comprehensive hearing services. This is a small office enviornment, staffed with knowledgable and caring staff. This position is 32 hours a week (general office hours 7-3 with flexibility and a possibility for hybrid remote work on Fridays). If you are interested in helping members of your community stay connected, engaged, and able to communicate with those around them, this job is for you. 

 

The starting rate for this position is $19 - $21/hour. 

Responsibilities

  • Complete billing functions for Audiology Clinic 
  • Assist Audiology Coordinator in daily tasks and serve as a backup when needed 
  • Client services to support overall customer service 
  • Ensure the Audiology Clinic is welcoming and a safe environment for all patients and staff 
  • General Office tasks to ensure smooth running clinic 
  • Communicate with, and facilitate, service delivery for Audiologist 
  • Interact with patients, families, and the community in a respectful, cooperative way and promote clear communication to promote belonging and positive problem solving 
  • Support marketing initiatives and campaigns 

Qualifications

  • Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED required 
  • Experience: Medical billing, general office and computer skills, billing software, insurance coding skills preferred, audiology knowledge preferred 
  • Qualities: Ability to operate standard office equipment.
