Job Summary:

The Student Assistant – Office & Social Media Operations supports the daily functions of the Registrar’s Office by providing excellent customer service, maintaining records, and assisting with communications. This role also includes developing and managing social media content and creating educational videos and tutorials for students, faculty, and staff.

Essential Duties:

  • Office Operations:
  • Provide clear interpretation of College policies and procedures to faculty, staff, students, parents, and administrators.
  • Deliver excellent customer service at the front counter and via phone.
  • File processed paperwork into student records and maintain the filing system.
  • Assist Registrar staff with special projects throughout the year.
  • Support diploma cover preparation for Commencement
  • Maintain confidentiality of all projects and content.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Social Media & Video Content:
  • Create and manage content for platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Develop and update tutorials and video content for the Registrar’s website.
  • Tailor content to the appropriate platform and audience.
  • Provide statistical insights on social media engagement.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all projects and content.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FERPA and ability to interpret its provisions.
  • Proficient in social media management and video editing.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
  • Strong organizational, listening, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
