Tree of Life Early Learning Center in Laurel, MD is looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our dedicated team! Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and daily progress
- Maintain open, consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's care and development
- Follow daily routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and play schedules
- Ensure classroom cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive, positive learning community
Requirements:
- Experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or early education setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or relevant degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to meet Maryland childcare licensing requirements
- Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
