Hospice of the Piedmont is seeking a Hospice CNA to join our stellar team of compassionate healthcare professionals.
Qualified candidates must live in or near Augusta County.聽
Our office hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00.聽
In this role you will provide a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients. Key duties include:
路 Personal Care: Assisting with hygiene, toileting, mobility, medication, and meal preparation.
路 Health Monitoring: Measuring and recording fluid intake/output, and reporting changes to the nurse supervisor.
路 Documentation: Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR) and documenting services provided.
路 Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping duties in the patient area.
路 Patient Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment while following infection control principles.
路 Emergency Procedures: Recognizing and responding to emergencies.
路 Professional Development: Maintaining competency and registration.

Qualifications:聽
路 Registered by the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Certified Nursing Assistant
路 One year of relevant experience required
路 Hospice experience, preferred
路 Driver鈥檚 license, personal automobile, and current automobile liability insurance
Typical Physical Demands/Working Conditions:聽
路 Regular use of hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Frequent standing, sitting, climbing, and balancing. Occasional walking, tasting, and smelling.
路 Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and push up to 200 pounds in a wheelchair.
路 Effective telephone communication, keyboarding, and regular use of a computer screen.
路 Frequent travel
