As a key member of the Northridge Internal Medicine team, you will play an essential role inĀ maintainingĀ accurateĀ financial operations, supporting patients, and ensuring providers can focus on delivering exceptional care.Ā

The RoleĀ 

As the Billing Account Specialist, you will be an integral part of a small, collaborative medical practice focused on delivering outstanding service to both patients and providers. This is a fast-paced role that blends medical billing, collections, cash posting, customer service, and problem-solving. Success in this position comes from strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the day.Ā 

In a typical day, you may:Ā 

  • Answer patient callsĀ regardingĀ billing questions and account balancesĀ 

  • Process credit card and check payments accurately and efficientlyĀ 

  • Post payments andĀ reconcileĀ financial transactions within the billing systemĀ 

  • Follow upĀ with insurance carriersĀ regardingĀ outstanding claimsĀ 

  • Contact patientsĀ regardingĀ balances andĀ assistĀ with payment arrangementsĀ 

  • Support cash posting and collections activities that are critical to the financial health of the practiceĀ 

  • MaintainĀ accurateĀ records while ensuring compliance with billing and documentation requirementsĀ 

  • Learn practice-specific billing processes and develop the independence to manage responsibilities confidentlyĀ

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.

Licensure: None required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.

OTHER

This is an on-site position and is not eligible for Remote Work or Telework.

Onsite parking available. at the Northridge Building.

Hours: 7:30-16:00 M-F OR 8:00-16:30 M-F

The pay range for this role is $16.31 - $32.63 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
