If you're passionate about Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and eager to maintain a strong foundation across diverse pediatric specialties, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver expert pharmacy support across 126 pediatric beds, primarily on day shift.
- Train and rotate through:
- Inpatient Hematology/Oncology/GI
- General Pediatrics (Endocrine, Renal, Cardiac, Solid Organ Transplants including livers, kidneys, and hearts)
- Ambulatory Infusion Center
- Optional: Ambulatory Hematology/Oncology and RheumatologyÂ
- Staff every 4th weekend, providing dedicated pediatric clinical coverage rotating through day or evening shift.
Beyond the Bench:
- Participate in order optimization within the electronic medical record and patient safety initiatives
- Partner with medical staff to ensure seamless transitions of care

Minimum Qualifications –
- Education: Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required.
- Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.
- Licensure/Certifications: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. Â License required. Â American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. Â BLS certification required
Physical Demands –
Job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals
Onboarding Requirements
Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
The starting base rate for this role is $64.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.Benefits
