Busy CNC shop in the Oconomowoc area is looking for machinists on all shifts.  Starting pay for candidates with no experience is $18 per hour, and starting base pay ranges from $18-$29 per hour based on experience.  Shift hours and shift premiums are as follows:


1st shift: 6AM-2PM M-F

2nd shift: 2PM-10PM M-F (15% shift premium)

3rd shift: 10PM-6AM Sun-Thurs (25% shift premium)


Training for all shifts is done on 1st shift, so candidates must be able to train 6AM to 2PM, Monday through Friday.


Requirements

 POSITION DUTIES:

  • Run equipment and all associated operations with maximum workstation efficiency, which includes making quality parts with minimal scrap, achieving posted rates, and recording minimum indirect labor hours.
  • Inspect parts manufactured by using required gages, or gages provided, to requirements which include, but are not limited to, routing requirements, drawing dimensions, quality plan dimensions and SPC chart tracking.
  • Perform posted maintenance on equipment as required.
  • Maintain paperwork and documentation and verify for correctness, while reporting errors to supervisor.
  • Utilize provided documentation (setup sheets, quality plans, and routings), to gather and organize all equipment needed (fixtures, lathe jaws, drill presses, tooling, inserts, etc.) to be able perform setups in a minimum amount of time.
  • Perform setups within posted rates with minimal scrap, and minimum machine spindle down time.
  • Understand and follow general shop practices as defined in the employee handbook.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
