Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the General Manager to lead a rock-star kitchen team
  • Train, supervise, and coach kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality and outstanding service
  • Keep kitchen staff informed and aligned through clear, timely communication
  • Help build and manage kitchen staff schedules
  • Create a positive guest experience by resolving any issues quickly and professionally
  • Monitor food quality and service standards, taking action to maintain them
  • Oversee food preparation to ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation
  • Minimize loss and misuse of product and supplies
  • Ensure the safe, responsible, and legal service of all alcoholic beverages
  • Maintain equipment according to restaurant safety and preventive maintenance guidelines
  • Maintain stock levels by calculating inventory, ordering and retrieving supplies, and stocking shelves (including reaching, bending, and lifting)
  • Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of all aspects of the operation
  • Take on additional duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

  • 2+ years of culinary experience required; kitchen management experience preferred
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours a day)
  • Able to reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with energy and stamina
  • Availability for some weekends, mornings, and evenings

  • ServSafe certification required
