Position Summary
We are seeking dependable Equipment Operators for multiple positions within our production facility. Equipment Operators are responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and maintaining assigned machinery while meeting production, quality, and safety standards. Specific equipment and responsibilities may vary by department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate assigned production equipment and machinery.
- Set up, start, stop, adjust, and monitor equipment during production.
- Follow production schedules, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Inspect products to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
- Identify equipment issues and report malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel.
- Complete required production, quality, and safety documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, food-safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and sanitation requirements.
- Assist with equipment cleaning, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, quality personnel, and maintenance.
- Meet established production goals while minimizing waste and downtime.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, or equipment-operating experience is preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry more than 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, climb, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work around moving equipment and machinery.
- Ability to work in environments that may include temperature changes, noise, moisture, and exposure to food ingredients or cleaning products.
Work Environment
This position is performed in a manufacturing and production environment. Employees must follow all required safety procedures and wear designated personal protective equipment.
