Job DetailsJob Location: Jackson, WI 53037Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayThe Ward Assistant Die Cutter supports the lead operator in setting up, running and maintaining this piece of converting equipment. They will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot on the assigned die cut machine. A proficient assistant machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail within safety standards. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with coworkers. Experience working with corrugated packaging equipment is a plus. Machine Setup & Operation: Assist the lead operator in mounting print plates, setting slotters, adjusting feeds, and changing dies during order changeovers.  Quality Control: Monitor running board for defects, loose liners, warp, print smears, or bad glue lines, notifying the operator immediately of issues. Material Handling: Help feed sheets, clear jams safely, and ensure proper stacking, counting, and palletizing of finished corrugated units. Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform routine clean-up, maintain 5S standards around the Ward machine, and report mechanical wear or maintenance needs.  Safety Compliance: Follow strict lockout/tagout (LOTO) rules, wear required PPE, and maintain a safe working zone for the entire machine crew.    Qualifications Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing or corrugated packaging environment preferred. Physical Strength: Ability to stand for long shifts and lift/stack corrugated parts up to 25 lbs. Periodic lifting of ink buckets may require lifting of up to 45 lbs. Technical Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure and factory job specs. Teamwork: Strong communication skills to take direction from the lead operator and support crew pace.
