Litigation Paralegal

Overview

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 States, has an immediate opening for a Litigation Paralegal in its Jackson office. The ideal candidate must have a general background in paralegal experience. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications:

• Paralegal Certificate a plus.
• Experience in defense litigation with exposure to legal billing is preferred.
• Experience preparing pleadings, written discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, non-party requests, open records requests, and other discovery tools.
• Familiarity with the Mississippi State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Managing and organizing electronic files, reviewing documents, preparing timelines/medical chronologies, researching/investigation for case management, preparation of trial exhibits and binders, as well as general trial support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; as well as close attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills (Win10, Microsoft Office applications, etc.).
• Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, team-structured setting.
• B.A. degree is preferred but not required.
