Job Description:

Position Summary

The MB Utility employee performs a variety of production and support tasks throughout the manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for assisting multiple departments as needed to ensure efficient operations, product quality, safety compliance, and production goals are achieved. Employees in this role must be flexible, adaptable, and capable of working in different areas of the plant based on business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform general production and manufacturing duties as assigned.
  • Operate equipment, machinery, and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with material handling, product movement, and workstation support.
  • Load, unload, stack, sort, and organize materials and finished products.
  • Maintain quality standards and inspect products for defects.
  • Follow all safety policies, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Support production teams by filling in for absences, staffing shortages, or increased workloads.
  • Assist with rework, packaging, assembly, shipping, receiving, or other plant operations as needed.
  • Communicate equipment issues, quality concerns, and safety hazards to management.
  • Participate in training and cross-training activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments and priorities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic math and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions common to a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and moving equipment.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
