Vortex Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to support commercial fleets throughout the Jackson, TN area. Instead of spending every day in the same shop, you'll work from a fully equipped service vehicle, diagnosing and repairing vehicles directly at customer locations.

What You'll Do

As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel and gas-powered fleet vehicles. You'll respond to service calls, complete preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, install replacement components, and document completed work.

This position offers a mix of mobile fleet maintenance and roadside repair work, providing variety and hands-on problem-solving every day.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of DOT compliance requirements
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must provide own tools
• 2+ years of diesel repair experience OR technical school training

Preferred:

• ASE Certification
• DOT Certification
• CDL
