Job Title: Provider Enrollment Support I
Reports To: Manager of Provider Enrollment
FLSA Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $16 - $18 Hourly
Office Location: Jackson, Michigan
Position Overview:
The Provider Enrollment Support I role is an entry-level position responsible for assisting the Provider Enrollment team with routine administrative tasks. This role is focused on supporting the day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient handling of basic provider enrollment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the collection and verification of provider credentials (example, licenses, certifications).
- Identify and escalate any concerns related to provider enrollment process.
- Assist in payer follow-up activities as needed to ensure timely enrollment.
- Manage department mail, including sending, receiving, and processing.
- Assist in preparing basic enrollment reports and documentation.
- Perform data entry and ensure records are accurate and complete.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall effectiveness of the department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year experience in an administrative or support role, ideally within healthcare
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to sit, talk, hear for extended period throughout the workday; stand, walk, push/pull, bend, stoop, kneel and reach on a regular to seldom basis. Repetitive hand motions on a frequent basis including fingering, grasping and handling. Ability to read handwritten and typed documents on paper and/or computer screens.
