Job DetailsJob Location: Main Campus - Inpatient - Jackson, MS 39216Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolJob Shift: Third Shift (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) The Security Officer maintains a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff Conducts patrols of building and grounds to detect security breaches, safety, and fire hazards Patrols each floor of the buildings and secures all unoccupied offices and areas Ensures buildings and occupants are maintained in a safe and secure environment Controls traffic in front of MRC to ensure parking for emergency vehicles, outpatients and visiting physicians Controls access of unauthorized personnel to restricted areas and closed offices when unoccupied Enforces all Security policies to ensure that unsafe conditions or activities are corrected Assist Safety Officer in hospital wide safety training Qualifications High School Diploma Two years experience in Safety/Security or Law Enforcement Class D or above drivers license; CDL must be obtained within first year of employment We Offer Competitive pay A comprehensive, flexible, benefit package to all full-time employees (32 hours plus per week) Medical and dental coverage beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment  403b Retirement Life insurance
