Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Management in Jackson, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally, and provide responsive customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or access control issues.
• Support security-related operations by documenting daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
