Live Oaks Golf Club, managed by Bobby Jones Links, is an 18-hole, semi-private course designed by John F. Stahl and opened in 1969. The par 71 course sits on 130 acres, and the 200 year old live oak trees provide the setting for the best value for golf in the Jackson Metro area. The club offers a practice area with a chipping green and a putting green, in addition to hitting bays. Live Oaks is hiring for Pro Shop Attendants. Primary responsibilities include: Assisting the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities. Developing merchandise sales and promotions during holidays, specials events, and times when sales are slow. Ordering supplies for the golf shop as directed by the Head Golf Professional. Assisting the Head Golf Professional with all tournament operations. Maintaining all logs (comp, rain check, monthly range, etc). Completing customer transactions. QualificationsRequired Skills Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems. Understanding of Club financials. Evaluation of customer satisfaction and responsiveness. Knowledge of shop inventory. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:   Walk and or stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently: Be exposed to outside weather conditions including temperatures over 90 and below 40 degrees. Work near: moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
