Job Description:

Pay Range: $18.00–$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 24 hours per week
Shift Times: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM and 4:00 PM–9:00 PM
Availability: Coverage is needed seven days per week. Candidates must be available every other weekend.
Care Needs: Hands-on personal care and dementia support
Transportation: Client transportation is not required

As a Medical Assistant Team Lead, You’ll Contribute to Our Success in the Following Ways:

  • Provide hands-on personal care, dementia support, and medical assistant duties according to client care plans.

  • Lead and support facility caregivers through guidance, coaching, and issue resolution.

  • Assist in monitoring each client’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

  • Promptly report significant changes in client condition to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates as needed.

  • Promote client safety by identifying hazards and escalating concerns.

  • Uphold HIPAA, confidentiality, and infection-control standards.

  • Represent Elara Caring professionally, courteously, and compassionately.

  • Attend required training and participate in skill-development opportunities.

  • Support the implementation of policies, procedures, and process improvements.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of client and staff information at all times.

  • Perform additional duties or assignments as needed.

What Is Required?

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Medical Assistant certification as required in the state where you are applying.

  • Ability to work approximately 24 hours per week during the available 7:00 AM–12:00 PM and 4:00 PM–9:00 PM shift windows.

  • Availability to work every other weekend.

  • Previous experience providing hands-on care to elderly individuals or people living with disabilities in a home-care, facility, or healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Dementia-care experience is preferred.

  • Leadership or team-lead experience is a plus.

  • Ability to motivate, mentor, and professionally support care staff.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Compassionate approach to client care.

  • Ability to solve problems, follow instructions, and prioritize responsibilities.

  • Comfort organizing schedules and delegating assignments.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and coworkers.

  • Knowledge of basic medical and personal-care support tasks.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, assist with transfers, and handle care equipment.

  • Ability to lift 50–100 pounds as needed.
